11.10 - Titans fall to Wildcats in Semi's
 The Lady Titans came up against a formidable opponent this evening in Central Region Semifinal play in the form of Wildcats from Deep Run. Cosby played very well, but just not well enough to beat Deep Run. Both Dominion District finalists were eliminated tonight when James River fell to Mills Godwin in the opener 3 sets to 2.

The girls will go to state if they can win their match tonight against Deep Run….they need all the support they can get….so put on your titan attire and come support the girls volleyball team tonight at 7:30 here at Cosby.

11.06 - Cosby - Dominion District Tournament Champions
Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team for winning the District Tournament last night against James River. The lady titans played an incredible match and won in 4 sets. Freshman Gabbie Holt was the server who led the team to victory in the 4th set. The team would like to thank their good luck charm Helen for being there for support. Come out and support the girls as they travel to Colonial Heights for the first round of regionals Monday night.

11.05 - Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team for defeating Clover Hill in last night’s match. It was tough game but the girls won in 4 sets. Highlights included Jessica Melhorn with 17 kills and Abigayle Holt with 32 assists. Come out and support the girls tonight at Bird High School as they play for the District Championship against James River at 7:00.

Congratulations to the girls jv volleyball team for coming in first place at the West end classic tournament this past Saturday! The lady titans defeated Godwin, Hermitage, Deep Run and Atlee. Miranda Creasey and Emma Fretts were both chosen as players of the all tournament team. Great job ladies!

 Lady Titans fell for the second time this year to District powerhouse James River. After watching this evening, I can see why Jessica Melhorn (4 aces, 10 kills, 16 digs) was Digital Sports player of the week.

The Lady Titans treated their fans to an exciting match against their 360 rivals from Clover Hill. Cosby went down early but was able to climb back into each game. With only 15 to win the rubber game of the match, Cosby fell early and did not have enough time to come back. The Lady Titans won two but seemed to run out of gas near the end of this marathon match. JV preceeded this an exciting match of their own taking Clover Hill down to the wire

If you came late last night, you missed most of the action as Cosby disposed of the Lady Skyhawks in 3 straight sets, dominating in all aspect of play.

 Come see the girls play in the 12th annual Virginia Volleyball Showcase. The ladies play this afternoon at 3pm and 5pm, with Saturday's schedule determined by today's action.

SUMMER OPEN GYMS & CONDITIONING:
Dates & times TBA via email. All ages and skill levels welcome!
PHYSICALS: Players must have a physical in order to participate in open gyms and try-outs. Cosby physicals will be given Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. for $25.
CAMPS:
This season tryouts are going to be very competitive for JV and Varsity. It is highly recommended that you attend a summer camp even if you have been playing for years. If you do not practice the volleyball skills before the day of tryouts it will show. Attached is a signature sheet that the camp leader will need to sign to show us that you attended camp, that is if you attend. Listed below and attached are recommended camps:
James Madison University camp
Virginia Tech camp
Penn State camp
Villanova University
Virginia Commonwealth University camp
Bridgewater College
TRYOUTS:
