Wann, No. 1 Titans claim 49-35 victory
Cosby, top-ranked in the T-D Top 10, opened the new year by allowing just 13 points combined in the second and fourth quarters and turned back No. 5 Meadowbrook 49-35 last night.
Becca Wann led the Titans with 17 points and Jazmine Pitts tallied nine for Cosby. Freshman Adrianne Vaughan added six.
Freshman Ashley Pegram's 16 points led the Monarchs, and Torie Cunningham contributed seven.
The Titans held a one-point lead after the first quarter but outscored the Monarchs 18-9 in the second to lead 31-21 at halftime.
