
Pete Mutascio
Head Coach / Defensive Coordinator
A 1986 grad of the University of Richmond, he has a Master's Degree from VCU. Pete is in his 16th year teaching and coaching, his 4th as head coach at Cosby. He has also coached and taught at Clover Hill, Hopewell and Dinwiddie. Pete's wife also teaches at Cosby. He has three daughters, Rebecca, 18; Alex, 9; and Sydney, 7.

Tom Nelson
Offensive Line Coach
Mr. Nelson received his BS degree in Sports Medicine from Virginia Tech in 1995 and a teacher certification from Virginia Tech in 1998. He has been teaching for 11 years in Chesterfield County (3 years Ettrick Elementary, 4 years Swift Creek Middle, 4 years Cosby High). He has 10 years of coaching experience in football, 6 years in boys basketball, and 7 years in baseball.

Mike Stefanko
Running Backs / Special Teams Coach
Mr. Stefanko holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Randolph-Macon College. This is his 15th year of teaching.

James Perry
Coach Perry teaches at Manchester Middle School. Coach Perry also coaches Track at Cosby High.

Todd Holt
Todd Holt is a 1997 graduate of Manchester High School, where he starred in both football and baseball.
He was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds right out of high school in the 32nd round, 968th overall. Todd choose college, attending Louisburg College. He was drafted again, this time by the Chicago White Sox in the 1999 Major League draft. He was drafted in the 24th round, 729th overall. Todd played outfield in the White Sox minor league system for two years. Todd is also assistant varsity baseball coach for Cosby too. |

Richard McFee
Coach McFee coached football at Huguenot for 20 years. He was one of several high school coaches named among the Richmond area's most influential sports people. He amassed a record of 154-67 during his tenure. McFee has sent 160 players to college on scholarship. 7 of McFee's former players have gone on to the NFL. He retired in 2007 to fight colon cancer. He is now cancer free and coaching for Cosby. Coach McFee also assists in Cosby's baseball program and coached Huguenot baseball for several years. |

Bryan Still

Mr. Still is a 1996 Graduate of Virginia Tech. He has seven years of teaching experience. |
Coach Palmese is a graduate of Clover Hill High school. He is currently attending John Tyler working to become a Special Ed teacher.
Experience: Fourth year as a Coach at Cosby High.

Jim Johnson
Coach Johnson's occupation is a "Qualified and Non Qualified" Retirement and Pension Plan Consultant. He played quarterback at York High School for four years and a three year letterman. He was a Scholarship Athlete for both Baseball and Football at Marion Military Institute.
Experience: Fourth year as a Coach at Cosby High.
Family: Wife Lori, three children, daughter Taylor 16 (plays Varsity Field Hockey for Cosby), son Jett 14 (9th grade @ Cosby) and son Justice 8.

Matt Murphy
Matt Murphy is entering his second year of coaching football in a high school program. He is a 2005 graduate of Clover Hill, currently attending John Tyler. Matt is also an assistant baseball coach with Cosby. |

Ed Metzger
Ed has been an athletic trainer for several years. This is his fourth year at Cosby High. Ed is also an assistant wrestling coach at Cosby.

Bob Barnes
Bob is the video coordinator for Cosby's football program. You can see him on top of the press box at any of their games. Bob has been filming high school football for 16 years. He has done this at South Lakes, Herndon, Clover Hill and Cosby High Schools.
Family: Two children, a daughter Tonya 41 and a son Mike 38.
Favorite NFL Team: Washington Redskins

Clay Thornton
The Cosby family was saddened to learn of Rev. Thornton's passing this past summer. Reverend Thornton was the Senior Pastor at Tomahawk Baptist Church and volunteer Assistant Coach for the Cosby High Varisty Track, Cross Country and Football teams. He touched many lives and will be missed. |
