10.30 - Dominion District Tournament Finals
10.29 - Lady Titans are Dominion District Runners Up.
 James River defeated the Lady Titans this evening to capture the Dominion District Tournament Championship. They won 3-0 in a game in which they dominated play with most action taking place in the Cosby end. The Lady Titans did have a few scoring opportunities of their own, but came up empty each time.
The Rapids drew first blood with less than 4 minutes played when James River’s Jenna Taylor scored. She continued to dominate play in the Cosby end, until she was struck in the head with the ball that deflected off her stick.
Cosby’s defense played well, holding off the countless corners James River attempted but the Rapids put two quick ones in late in the game to round out the scoring.
Crowds at field hockey have been small this year, and tonight was no exception, but these fans were the most vocal cheering equally for both sides, as well as taking pot shot at the referee’s calls.
Although the regional field hockey tournament will be held at Cosby, the first round action is at the higher seed’s home field. As runners up, the Lady Titans will be travelling for their next game.

Dominion District Tournament Results
The varsity field hockey team advanced to the Dominion District finals last night by defeating Bird 2-1! The goals were scored by Taylor Johnson and Laurie Schrider. This win also advances the Titans to the Regional tournament next week. The Titans will play James River tonight at 6pm at Midlo for the tournament championship; come out and support you Lay Titans.

Apologizes for the delay in posting - The Lady  Titans dropped their first district game Wednesday night 2-0 to the Skyhawks.
At the 6 minute mark of the second half, the Skyhawks broke the 0-0 tie, scoring on a penatly stroke. The penalty stroke was awarded after one of the Titans handled the ball. LC Bird made the shot count and put the Skyhawks up 1-0. This would not be the final

BE READY - Don't wait until tryouts to be in condition. Each of those interested in trying out were given conditioning packets for the summer. If you did not receive one, you should be conditioning on your own and be ready for a rigorous tryout.
CAMPS - Attending a camp is not a requirement, but is encouraged. It will help you with your skills, conditioning and preparation to try out for the team!
SEASON SCHEDULE - Our season begins right after tryouts. We have scrimmages, tournaments and even a few games that will be played before the school year begins.
